I’m 15 and a girl and I’m wondering what trends are in for Fall 2010.
I’ve heard that cream shoes and bags are popular. Is that true?
Is plaid still popular?

Plaid has never been popular. Bags is a very broad category. haha. This season, simplistic, structured "box-like" bags are extremely chic. The top fashion editors are all drooling over them, haha. Here’s are a few:

Military-esque clothing is still really popular. Military jackets are very chic and cute, they go with just about anything. There are lots of cute ones at Forever 21 for really low prices.

Also, lace is still extremely popular. I love lace soo much, haha <3

Fur’s also extremely popular this season, you’re probably a little young to pull that off though ^^ Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel, Balmain, Balenciaga, Celine, and countless other designers have put lots of work into fur coats this season (both faux and real)

Over the Knee boots are still very popular. Free People carries very, very, very cute ones! I have yet to buy a pair! They’re too expensive.

I would read a few fashion magazines or watch a few runway shows to get the general gist of this season’s trends.

We have really struggled to find a name for our 2nd daughter due in Nov. We have come up with the above 3 names as possibilities but I am not 100%.

What do you think of the above names?

I worry that Elle isn’t meaningful enough (’she’ in French)
that Anya (pronounced Onya) is too similar to Ava (our 1st born)
and
that Eloise is too old fashioned. What do you think?

I like all three names. I think Eloise will go best with your other daughter’s name, Ava.

i mean it may be "teen" vogue, but it’s still VOGUE for gods sake!! do something different!!!!!
it’s so fcuking annoying! i mean it’s supposed to be a fashion magazine and i’d like to see new things, i’d like to LEARN new things about fashion. i don’t need to read about Miley or Justin Bieber or Selena Gomez and all the other "teen stars" over and over again. because idgaf about them!!!! i want to see fashion. ugh

I know. I never read the part about them! They need to put in real role models!

We like the name Elle for our baby (due in Nov.) but feel that it may be too short to give as a formal name. Any suggestions for a name that we could shorten to Elle as a nickname?#

Our surname is Cheung and her sister’s name is Ava.

Elle is fine all by its self
is Ava a full name or a nickname?just curios i like Ava and Elle together

I love this magazine, and their clothes are fabulous, but they are so expensive. Some are like half a monthly salary, and some – three monthly salaries rolled in one, and bags and shoes are even worse. Yet the magazine thrives, and teen Vogues blogs, too, and on their web site, there are thousands of comments like "I have this dress" and "I have this outfit". How can teens afford it, what do they do? (And so many of them, not like one or two.)

The people that buy the stuff in Teen Vogue Magazine’s parents are really rich…buuuut you can definately copy they’re outfits without breaking your budget try Forever 21 it’s got sorta the same stuff they have in Teen Vogue for a waaaay cheaper price(: Good luck!

The traditional spelling is Eloise… I don’t like Elle-Louise spelled like that. Looks kind of tacky.
